See the buds of Spring and feel the Warmth of Sunshine return
The Spring Equinox is here, and is also known as Ostara! This is the midway point where daylight and nighttime are equal. As we move forward through the wheel in the year, the days will grow longer, and the sun will shine brighter!
Ostara is the time when the earth is reborn, and we see nature beginning to bloom in all its ways. Baby animals are born, tiny bud-lings emerging from the soil, hatchlings finding their way out of their old egg shell homes. Ostara is awakening us to our potential and what is in store for us in the coming months. It's a time to set intentions and to expand your dreams. What do you want to bring to light?

OSTARA OILS & HERBS
Ready to get your hands dirty? Why not grab some wildflower seeds and plant new life into your garden? Ostara is the perfect time to cultivate new life and celebrate what is to come. Planting flowers or produce in your garden is a fantastic way to celebrate, and get some practical exercise along the way too!
Spring cleaning seems to be a natural go-to in our homes for Ostara. Spending some time cleaning and cleansing your space can feel so refreshing and rewarding. See this blog post on some great ways to cleanse your space naturally. We also love diffusing essential oils during this time, using a combination of Lavender and Lime to really freshen up the energy of our spaces.
If you have a sacred space or an altar space in your home that you'd like to decorate, here are some lovely additions that help to honor the Spring Equinox:

We found a delicious Lemon + Lavender Ostara Cake recipe from Plentiful Earth and just had to share it with you!
1/2 c. Butter room temperature (to make the spell go smoothly)
1/2 c. Sugar (to sweeten up the spell)
2 Eggs (to add creative energy)
1 1/2 c. Self-rising Flour (to bring in prosperity)
1/8 tsp. Salt (to add protection)
1/4 c. Milk (to add the energy of the Goddess)
1 Lemon zested (to call in friendship)
1 tsp. Lavender (to call in peace)
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract (to call in love)
1.5 Lemons juiced
7/8 c. Powdered Sugar
1/2 Lemon juiced
1/2 c. Powdered Sugar
Preheat your oven to 355 F.
Butter a 8” x 4” loaf pan with butter and set aside. Add parchment for easy removal, optional of course.
In a large bowl, cream the ½ c. butter and the ½ c. sugar.
Slowly add the 2 eggs and the lemon zest.
When incorporated, fold in the 1 ½ c. flour, vanilla extract, and teaspoon of lavender until well combined.
Add milk and stir one last time. The batter will be thick.
Pour into your prepared bread tin and bake for 45 minutes, or until skewer poked in the center comes out clean.
During the last 10 minutes of baking time, make a cake-moistening drizzle with the juice of 1.5 lemons and ⅞ cup of powdered sugar in a small bowl.
When the cake is done, poke holes in the top of the loaf and drizzle the sweet liquid all over the hot cake.
Cool completely in the pan.
In a small bowl, mix together 1 ½ cups of powdered sugar with the juice of half a lemon.
Spread the icing over the cooled cake and decorate with the pinch of lavender!
